A Letter From A Patron

I looked forward to an evening at Buddy Greco's Dinner show with great expectations. I am so happy to say that those expectations were exceeded far beyond my wildest dreams.

My experience actually started with my making reservations. The person who made them was friendly, efficient and handled my questions with confidence and made me feel at ease. When I called for directions from my hotel, the same person gave me step-by-step directions that got me right to the spot. Who knew that this good will ambassador was also one of the headliners in the show and who turned out to be an excellent singer and a more than graceful hostess.

The dinner was great but any restaurauant should be able to put a good steak on the table. Your differential was the staff. It began with the bartender who greeted me when I walked into the door. He made me feel right at home and we had a nice conversation while I sat at the bar for a few minutes before going to the theater. While there, several waiters came to pick up drinks and each greeted me by first name. WOW! I have eaten in places where even my own waiter didn't appear to care whether I was there or not. Great job.

What can I say about the show? A star who have been a fan of for at least 45 years---and whose vocal skills are still sharp and make me forget what an accomplished pianist he is. A combo that was second to none. Great base and drums along with that fabulous piano--what could be better?

But my praise doesn't end with the show. The after show where Mr. Greco stopped by my table said hello. Too many stars are in a hurry to get the hell out of there before they actually have to confront a fan--not "My Buddy". Another nice touch, the bass player stopped by and said hello. I have never had this experience at any of the hundreds of clubs and shows I have attended over my too many years.

You speak of your family at the club. I actually felt like I was sitting in your living room being personally entertained by some of the tops in the business. Thanks for a wonderful night and for making an old guy happy. You have a gift and manage it well.
